R.I.P Mr. Mouse

One of my cats has a thing for those furry fake mice. She loves it and is always playing with it when she can find it. Of course, the mouse gets lost a lot, as she tosses it around and it ends up in the most peculiar places, such as on top of the entertainment shelf or—as it did recently—in my lamp, which is a good 6 feet tall.

The poor mouse is mangled and dirty, but she loves it. Her favorite game is tossing it around in the air, with bringing it to me to play fetch with a close second. It’s good to see her happily playing with Mr. Mouse.

Then, the unthinkable happened the other morning. I got up and discovered the mouse by the water dish…drowned! It had taken in so much water that it disintegrated. Mr. Mouse...R.I.P.

Poor cat tried to play with him, but it was useless. I finally buried him. Oh, all right, I tossed him. Sue me. LOL

I made finding her a new one shortly thereafter, but it isn’t the same. It doesn’t have the same cat-used look like the other one did. She does play with it, but not as much.

R.I.P. Mr. Mouse. You were well loved.
